On behalf of the Midweek Committee, I would like to thank everybody who attended our Charity
Day last Tuesday, 17th May 2011, in aid of Harris HospisCare.
Congratulations to the winners Sheila Bent and Raymon Bennett who beat Alison Gibbons and
Clive Richardson 6-3 in the final.
We now have the final figures, and the total amount raised, from entry fees, cakes, cards and
raffle ticket sales was an amazing £368.
Thank you to Neil for being our official photographer and to Eddie for preparing a quiz, which
thankfully, we didn't need as the weather was good to us.
Thank you also to all of those who made or brought cakes for everybody to enjoy during the
afternoon.
Lastly, and most importantly, thank you to all of the players, both members and guests, without
whom we wouldn’t have had such a successful afternoon.
